Clare moved to Richmond just in time. The former New York blogger recently moved to RVA with her sweet family. Since she's arrived, she has discovered the city's inspiring murals and thinks we all need a little rooftop bar in our life. Lucky for Clare, two rooftop bars just opened in the city and there is one more on the way this month...
We're glad Clare found Sweetest Stitch. She recently picked out a few favorites from our boutique and shared them on ClaraBelle Blog here. Her pops of pink and colorful patterns have us craving a hot summer night.
When did you first fall in love with fashion?
I really started getting into fashion and trends around middle school. I had subscriptions to just about every country's Vogue and I would make mood board collages on my bedroom walls.
When/Why did you first decide to start a blog?
I started my blog in grad school. I went to Syracuse University and it was so snowy there, so there wasn't much to do. I started my blog to prevent boredom and to relieve the stress of the heavy course load.
What is your favorite part of blogging?
I love seeing a post finally come to life. I have been blogging for a very long time. Sometimes the thought of doing another outfit post or writing another story is daunting. But seeing it all come together in the end is worth it every time.
What draws you to the Sweetest Stitch brand?
I love how timeless and wearable everything is. The shop is on-trend without being overly trendy. I also love the prices!
What are five spring essentials everyone needs?
A great spring dress, a denim jacket, a good organic sunscreen, access to a great rooftop bar, and Zyrtec.
Who are your favorite fashion bloggers to follow?
I love Blair Eadie of Atlantic Pacific, Cori Robinson of Dress Corilynn, Candace Read of Live, Love and Read, and Courtney Quinn of Color Me Courtney.
What is your favorite Sweetest Stitch item on the site?
I love how unique and fun this piece is!
What is your favorite sweet treat?
Just one?! Hmm okay -- if I had to pick ONE I would say chocolate-covered gummy bears.
