Twenty-Something Series: What to Wear to Bridal Brunch

Talk about adulting... Our twenties are filled with one of the most adult things ever--marriage. Luckily, this is one of the fun parts of getting older. Whether you're a bridesmaid, a cousin, or the bride, weddings are a lot of work. From endless fittings, to flowers, to showers, there's a lot of planning behind these multifaceted celebrations of love. There's one kind of wedding event we're all good at, however: Brunch.

Whether you're a hostess or a guest, a Bridal Brunch should be a classy affair. Deciding what to wear shouldn't weigh you down. The key to the right outfit is to keep it simple. Let's take some of the stress out of party planning and get brunch ready with these looks from Sweetest Stitch:

Seeing Spots

You know cameras will abound at a Bridal Brunch. Reach for flattering shapes when you put your outfit together. The fit and flare style of this Denim Dot Dress will flatter any shape, no matter how many times you've been to the omelet station.

The delicate dot pattern keeps this chambray dress feeling sweet and playful. Bonus: the chambray fabric is not only on-trend, but it will hide a few spills! Pair the dress with comfortable and elongating nude heels or wedges. And don't forget flowers for the hostess!

White Stripes

Maybe you're having brunch by the sea, river or lake. Beat the bridal stress by wearing a flowing dress and embracing a nautical mindset. We can't get enough of our Nautical Dreams Dress and it's fresh, chic stripes. The neckline will show off your shoulders so you can soak up some sun and feel the breeze. The fabric flows effortlessly so you won't have to readjust for photos. A navy pashmina or jean jacket will make the perfect cover-ups if the wind gives you a chill. Now, where's the boat?!

A Pop of Pink

No one said you had to wear a dress. The purple and navy Strike Your Fancy Blouse will bring color to your cheeks and cheer to the brunch table. Both mom's and daughters alike will be able to take this top from brunch to the office.

For an end-of-summer bridal brunch, pair it with classic navy shorts. Our In the Navy Shorts aren't too short for a more conservative look.  The elastic in the waist will allow you to indulge in quiche and cupcakes without any trouble. This top will also pair well with white pants or tucked into a navy skirt.
