How to Wear White after Labor Day

Labor Day has come and gone and so has the age old fashion rule: Don't wear white after Labor Day. Summer is still in full swing, especially in the South. We won't be reaching for our coats and leather boots for another month or so.

There's no reason why you can't still incorporate this crisp color into your transitional wardrobe. In fact, we encourage it!

So, what's the easiest way to rock this trend? Keep it classic with black and white.

Black tops of any shape are necessary fashion investments. This lightweight sweater will become your new favorite fall item. It is thin enough to get through the warmer parts of the day and slender enough to fit under a jean jacket for layering. It's also cozy enough to keep out the fall air when you're picking apples or walking to a coffee date.

Add dimension to your simple outfit with a fun necklace. Keep your neckline short with a wrap necklace shown here or go for a pendant look. Shop jewelry here.

You may not think to pair a cozy sweater with strappy heels but we encourage you to try it! Invest in a pair like this that you can wear from day to night. If it does get chilly at night, throw on your jean jacket or leather jacket for added warmth. Don't forget to throw on some extra mascara and lipstick if you're headed out on the town!

Have fun breaking rules, sweeties!
