As a rule of thumb, we don't trust anyone who doesn't like chocolate. Our latest Sweetest Stitch blogger, Amanda of The Tailored Olive, makes the cut! The sweet Richmond blogger has a knack for finding new ways to wear her favorite clothes.

After visiting our boutique at 431 N. Ridge Road, she picked out two classic dresses and styled them both in creative ways. She turned them into tunics by wearing pants with them. It's the perfect spring transition style hack!

When did you first fall in love with fashion?

I think I was about 10 years old when I first fell in love with fashion. I saw my first Paris fashion week on TV and was absolutely mesmerized by all the unique fabrics, colors, and styles.

When/Why did you first decide to start a blog?

I thought about starting a blog several years ago, but I finally made the plunge this past year. I constantly get questions about the clothes I wear, sales I find, and recipes my husband and I cook, so I wanted to have a place where I could share this information with my friends and family.

What is your favorite part of blogging?

My favorite part about blogging is connecting with brands that I love and meeting other bloggers. I also really enjoy photography and styling, so I love that I get to do both of these things regularly.

What draws you to the Sweetest Stitch brand?

I learned about this cute boutique fairly recently, but love that there are so many unique and on-trend options to choose from!

What are five spring essentials everyone needs?

I actually wrote a blog post recently on my 5 Spring Must Haves. Some of my favorite spring pieces include straw bags, blocked heels, anything with a statement sleeve, and tassel accessories.

Who are your favorite fashion bloggers to follow? There are so many awesome bloggers out there, but two of my favorites are Gal Meets Glam and Damsel in Dior.

What is your favorite Sweetest Stitch item on the site?

I really like this dress here. Embroidery has become very popular recently, and I love how this dress has a subtle embroidered trim. Plus it has tassels!

What is your favorite sweet treat?

This is tough! I love anything dark chocolate, but I might have to say it’s a tie between Gearharts Fine Chocolate and chocolate covered almonds topped with turbinado sugar and sea salt (you can find them at Trader Joes)!

What do you do outside of blogging for work? How does that impact your style?

Outside of blogging I work for a local non-profit where I specialize in digital marketing. My background in marketing and graphic design has been very useful with my blog and working with brands.  Luckily, our office attire is business casual, so most of the outfits you see on my blog I wear to work. And when I’m not working, I’m usually doing some type of outdoor activity, and this is where the athleisure wear comes in!

What was the last book you read that you think Sweetest Stitch readers would love?

The last book I read was The Lake House by James Patterson. His books are so captivating that I end up reading a whole book in just a couple days! It’s a great book to read on the beach or during vacation!
