Being a mom can make it a challenge to stay cute and put together. Easy and feminine essentials are crucial tools for any mom's closet. We have so many new items in stock here at Sweetest Stitch that are just that. We invited super mom and blogger Caitlin of Stone Style to pick out her go-to spring outfit.
When did you first fall in love with fashion?
When I was about 11 Years old. I remember every Friday night I would go to CVS to pick out every fashion magazine I could find! I would read them for hours and hours and collected them for such a long time.
When/Why did you first decide to start a blog?
I've been wanting to do this for about five years now and just never had the guts to go ahead and do it. So this past December I decided enough was enough and I was ready to take the plunge in the blogging world and I've been loving it!
What is your favorite part of blogging?
My favorite part has to be connecting with other women who love fashion just as much as I do and seeing how everyone styles pieces SO differently. It's amazing to see how creative people can be with clothes!
What draws you to the Sweetest Stitch brand?
I love that Sweetest Stitch is a small local boutique that has such amazing, quality pieces that rival big department stores! Supporting other Women in small businesses is so important.
What are five spring essentials everyone needs?
-A great denim jacket
-A pair of colored block heels
-A fine knit sweater (like the ones I'm wearing in the photos)
-A good quality white tee.
Who are your favorite fashion bloggers to follow?
What is your favorite Sweetest Stitch item on the site?
What is your favorite sweet treat?
Seeing as I have the world’s biggest sweet tooth narrowing this down is so hard for me, but I love a good chocolate chip cookie!
What do you do outside of blogging for work? How does that impact your style?
I am a stay-at-home mom with a two-year-old daughter so my style always has to be comfortable. You will always find me in simple pieces that I can move around in easily.
What was the last book you read that you think Sweetest Stitch readers would love?
The last book I read was Grace Not Perfection by Emily Ley. It was such a good reminder to "Hold yourself to a standard of Grace not Perfection." I think its so easy as women to try and take on everything and for it to always be perfect, when in reality, perfection is such an unattainable goal. This book really shows you how to give yourself grace and to enjoy the little moments and not be so caught up in this world of social media comparison that can really steal your joy.
