As you might know, Richmond is becoming a well known arts destination. From the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts to the Richmond Street Art Festival, there is something for everyone. One of the most iconic feature of Richmond's scenic walkways, bike paths, and roads are its murals that have been painted by artists from near and far.
We're starting a new series on Sweetest Stitch about the Richmond murals we love. They inspire the entire city and this fall, they're inspiring our style. We're kicking it off with Taylor White's mural at 2614 W. Cary Street.
The 2016 Pantone Colors of the year are Rose Quartz and Serenity Blue. There are splashes of it throughout every corner of this mural. The two colors are light and positive. From blue water to pink sunsets, the colors make us excited to be living in such a beautiful world.
This bright purple top also makes us smile. It features a v-neck and embroidered navy detail down the center. It flows and drapes beautifully over a pair jeans for a classy but casual look like we've shown it here. We would also love to tuck into a pair of navy shorts for a fun lakeside look. A pair of dark wash denim skinnies are a must have for summer, fall and then some. Our Love To Love Denim jeans are slimming, soft, and perfectly faded to lengthen your legs. These denim babes will provide a blank slate for you to be you, whether you add a blouse and heels like we did here, or throw on your favorite tee and sandals for a more laid back look. We're all about investing in great basics here at Sweetest Stitch. When you have items that can be worn multiple ways, it's easier to incorporate bright and exciting items like this blouse. We love a black cross body bag and simple black booties. They'll create an easy foundation for you to build effortless outfits on when you get inspired by all the Richmond murals.
