We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our local women's clothing boutique. As a Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and personalized shopping experience for our valued customers. Your passion for fashion and exceptional selling skills will contribute to the boutique's success by driving sales, building lasting relationships with clients, and ensuring the boutique maintains its reputation for style and quality.
The Sweetest Stitch customers are the heart of our brand. In this role, our Store Associates will be responsible for delivering a top-quality level of customer service.
Responsibilities:
Create a friendly and inviting atmosphere with all customers as they arrive.
Provide personalized assistance to customers, understanding their preferences.
Offer expert advice on styles, fits, and fashion trends.
Proactively engage customers to promote products, showcase new arrivals, and suggest complementary items to increase sales.
Achieve and exceed sales targets, contributing to the overall growth and profitability of the boutique.
Utilize effective sales techniques, upselling, and cross-selling strategies to maximize individual and team sales.
Maintain a well-organized and tidy boutique environment.
Participate in the arrangement and restocking of merchandise to ensure the boutique always showcases the latest styles.
Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds according to boutique policies while striving to convert returns into positive experiences.
Requirements:
Previous retail sales experience, preferably in women's fashion or clothing retail.
Passion for fashion and a keen eye for style trends and aesthetics.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage customers and build relationships.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on creating memorable shopping experiences.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Basic math skills for processing transactions and handling cash or electronic payments.
High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education in fashion or retail is a plus.
